Take a seat

After receiving a vintage wing-backed chair for my birthday at the start of this year it is fair to say that I have most certainly caught the redecorating-bug. I loved the idea of rushing through fabric stores searching for the perfect print to compliment my pre-adored chair and seeing all the hard work pay off once the final product was tucked neatly into a sunny reading corner in my room. With Christmas fast approaching I have been all aflutter with the chaotic task of selecting the suitable gifts for family and friends. Which is why I have collected a selection of elegant vintage thrones as well as industrial chairs to get those gift ideas flowing. Mix and match bold prints or block fabrics to cover a statement chair, or paint wooden chairs in a distressed manner and stack magazines for a decor piece. Next time you're out and about consider popping into an op shop or antique store to look for vintage seats ideal to do-up for that affordable to splurge worthy present. Or enjoy all the fun of painting, priming and decorating a chair to treat yourself with these eclectic options.

{Place a vase of fresh flowers or a stack of vintage
 books to a worn in chair for a vintage touch}
{Pick solid bright hues, playful patterns or pinstripes  for your
chair or opt for a luxurious velvet vibe to add a  shabby chic edge}
