I have begun the countdown to the end of the week,and it's only Monday! With the promise of a party towards the end of the week and a spot of pampering, there's nothing more exciting to me at this moment than the prospect of catching up with friends in a summers afternoon. I have been busily working away on several exams over the past few weeks, so I am sure you can all imagine my relief when I turned my focus to party prep. So, as we prepare to indulge in the freedom of summer and truly experience the rewards of fulfilling those dreadful chores, (you know, the ones we all procrastinate endlessly until we've simply run out of reasons,) here a few things that I am currently smitten with this week. 

1. How cute are these ice cream sundae decorations? I've hunting high and low for every item with even a hint of the colour schemes red, white and pink as I begin to pull together a collection of sweet trimmings and toppings for my poolside party later in the week. I am already giddy with joy (and temptation) at the assortment of flavours, candy and other equally enticing goodies. Updates to come!

2. I spotted these hot pink wedges while out shopping the other day and instantly fell in love! I already mentally own the velvet beauties and consequently, have styled them with countless outfits that I even catch myself realizing I still don't have sole possession yet! While I empty the remains of my vintage money jar, these pretty in pink treats will keep me satisfied, for now.

 3. Although Christmas is still over a month away, the inclusion of decorations smothered around shops and streets had put me in a rather jolly mood. Do not fret, you dont actually need to start plotting, planning and priming everything in sight with splashes of red, white and gold for a few more weeks, but it never did hurt anyone to grab a little inspiration here and there...

4. One can never have too many fairy lights draped and scattered around, well anything really. So, with summer creeping forward, draw inspiration from these brilliant ideas. Lights always seem add something magical to any area and I cant help but love these over crowded looks as fairy lights, lanterns and candles are scatter for an enchanted approach.

5.  Lounging poolside calls for one thing. Drinks, my friend! Add cranberry juice to your favourite punch for a tickle of pink or sip sodas in the sun kissed afternoons for that true summer indulgence. Play around with flavours to create your own signature concoction and pour into bottles, jars or glasses for a rustic approach.
