The weather has taken a turn for the worst. Clearly summer has become lost in translation as the overcast skies creep in once again with impending threats of rain. In attempts of escaping the damped streets, I was whisked into the side allies of New Market to find the secluded, industrial cafe that is Little and Friday with a dear friend. The adorable simplistic set up was tucked away in the far corner of Martha's Fabrics: (a fabric store with a section of patterns and prints to die for, and just the right amount of awe inspiring rustic cuts for any DIY dabbler). After stuttering over the glorious array of sweet treats and savory sensations displayed in the glossy cabinets, I decided upon a cinnamon brioche and a steaming hot chocolate. A combination ideal for these unsightly in-between days, that to my pleasure was ready before I even sat down. There is nothing more lovely than an after catch up session with close friends. And the brioche, well what more can I say? I will certainly be making this unique little cafe my regular stop and can not wait to journey over the bridge for a taste of the Takapuna original.

Just look at that selection!} |
